Unique Ideas for Senior Portraits

I was excited to have my senior portraits done. After all, these would pictures my mother would hang in her home for years to come and these pictures would help commemorate a huge accomplishment in my life. However, after meeting with a few photographers, my excitement faded. Many of the photographers offered up pictures and poses that have been repeated by other seniors over the past decade. I wanted something unique, and I was having a hard time finding it. After a lot of research, I finally came up with unique ideas for senior portraits. I started this website to share my unique ideas, hoping to help other high school seniors who want their pictures to be a reflection of their individuality and uniqueness.

Top Reasons Why Storage Units Are Right For University Students

Are you a university student? Are you wondering what to do with your belongings when you go home for summer break? Instead of trying to decide what to drag home and what to throw out and buy again next year, here are some good reasons to consider putting your belongings into storage units:

Saves money: Because of the size of a dorm room, you probably won't need a large storage area. Small storage units may run you less than $25 a month. Many of the things you'd otherwise throw out and buy again next year, such as winter clothes or dorm-specific bedding, would likely cost you more than the price of self storage fees to replace. Taking fewer things home will also save you on baggage fees if you're going home by airplane.

Makes you money: Few university students want to keep their old textbooks once they're done with them. University bookstores are often filled with people selling their used textbooks at the end of the year. Because of the huge supply of textbooks, many bookstores will only pay a small fraction of their original value. However, if you keep your old books safely stored in one of the nearby storage units until next year, you may be able to get much more for your books at the beginning of the year. By holding onto your books and selling them directly to your fellow students at the start of the new year, you could get much more money than by selling them to the bookstore. You can then put this money towards buying your books for your upcoming classes.

Saves you effort: Even if you have room to carry everything home, getting everything packed into your car may feel like you're playing a difficult puzzle game. This can add time and stress to an already stressful part of the year. Instead of worrying about exactly where to pack your favorite pair of skis to get them safely home and back again, plan on putting them into your storage unit. This way you'll know that they'll be safe and protected, ready for you to hit the slopes again when you return for the fall semester.

Saves you space: Because of the tiny size of most dorm rooms, you may feel like you have no room to keep most of your clothes. During the school year, keep your dorm room from feeling cluttered and cramped by storing part of your belongings in one of the nearby self storage units. For example, when the weather is cold, keep your warm weather clothes in the storage unit.
